Natural Approach to Pest Control

When it comes to terminating the pests, we tend to think of the various commercial products available. However, many of you know that some of the commercial products are dangerous and shouldn't be brought to a house with kids.

The alternative is to go for natural pest control. Basically it involve things that are usually found right in your kitchen.  The following is a list of common pest products that can be made from items that are commonly found in the kitchen.  They are safe to use around pets, children and food, plus they pose no risks to health like commercial pest products.

You'll be surprised with what you will get.

- Basil.  Can be used like mint to repel flies.

- Garlic.  Ground up garlic can be sprinkled around entrance ways to keep bugs out.

- Cayenne Pepper.  Can be mixed with water and used as a barrier around entrance ways or put in a spray bottle and sprayed around areas where pests are found.

- Cloves.  Cloves keep away moths.  They work just like moth balls.

- Rosemary.  Ground rosemary is a great flea repellent.  You can dust your dog and your home with it.

- Wine.  Wine mixed with a capful of dish detergent and sat in a bowl will get rid of fruit flies.

- Chalk.  Can be used as a barrier near entrance ways to keep ants out.

- Cucumbers. Spread peels around the area where ants enter your home.  They do not like them and will not enter.

- Lemon.  Another ant repellent, straight lemon juice can be sprayed wherever ants are seen.

Just some ideas for you. Try it out!
