Recycling
Recycling is the term that is used to
describe an alternative form of getting rid of waste
materials. Instead of putting waste materials in a
landfill, they are reprocessed and made into new things that
are useful. Through recycling it is now possible to
reduce the amount of waste going into landfills and it also
helps to bring down the prices on items that are manufactured
using recycled waste.
I think that almost everything can be recycled.
Recycling has increased and grown to allow for everything from
paper to plastic to batteries to be recycled and made into
something useful for everyday use.
Recycling is also great for the planet. It takes the
waste that would just stay dugged in a landfill, taking decades
to degrade and break down into different form. The life
of a material that can be recycled can go on and on. From
its creation this recyclable item begins a long life that may
take on various forms.
Recycling can recreate many items. For example, a
wasted used pop bottle may not become a pop bottle again.
It may become part of a child's toy or even part of a
car. As you can see, recycling goes way beyond
conventional uses and explores new ways to make recycled things
more useful.
Recycling is important and has become a key factor in waste
management. Most cities and towns have some type of
recycling center. People can now put their recyclable
materials out for collection. In many places this is done
without cost. The person however, has to separate out
their recyclable material and make sure to put it in the
recycling bin for collection.
Even now there are public recycling bins. Many grocery
stores have bins for recycling waste plastic grocery
bags. These bags are collected and then processed back
into new grocery bags. Other examples are bins for
aluminum cans which can usually be readily found.
Recycling is not a new idea, but to make it into our daily
living will take some time. 10 years old people would
simply throw anything without a single thought of
recycling. Now most people recycle their old
materials.
Recycling makes the world a better place. We should do
our part in to cut down on waste and just making this world a a
greener place to live in. The best part is that all of us
can do it.
